Girls Varsity Soccer · Thudium Takes Co-Player of the Year Honors

Junior Sarah Thudium has been honored by The Columbian with Co-Player of the Year for girls soccer.  The keeper is in her 3rd year as a member of a Lady Knight’s program that has made it to districts and state finals the past several seasons.  “It’s not just this accolade.  We need more athletes with her attributes.”, Athletic Director Coach Butter says.  “I say Thudium for Player of the Year, Mayor and President!”  All year long, Thudium showed consistency with intentional communication, sacrifice of her body, and fight that makes the entire Knight Knation proud!

Not only did King’s Way represent at the Player of the Year level…several Lady Knights earned All-League and Honorable Mention accolades.  Senior Beth Hutchin, a Knight for over 15 years, was selected to 2nd Team All-League along with teammate Piper Meek and Olive Mohammadi.  Says Hutchin, “So many memories here and the girls I’ve played with are life long friends.”

Sophomore midfielder Annabelle Atwood took home 1st Team All-League.  “I so enjoyed watching Atwood this year.”, said Coach Butter.  “She’s definitely an athlete with unique physical/athletic skills and look forward to watching her career develop.”  The link to the original article is below.
